Final Conference: MARRIAGE partners review results & set the course for the future

More than three years of project work has been behind the MARRIAGE partnership when the project met for the final conference in Heringsdorf / DE on 15 April 2015 to officialy close the MARRIAGE project – and to commit to the continuation of jointly promoting the South Coast Baltic.

The event was the occasion for an extensive review in a relaxed athmosphere, which was well-deserved after very intensive last months of project finalisation. Highlights and outcomes were jointly reflected from different angles, affirming that the project met the ambitious goals of the partners in a prominent way. It caused great satisfaction that this view is shared by the South Baltic Programme, too. In her statement on behalf of the programme authorities, Anna Błeszyńska from the Contact Point Zachodniopomorkie highlighted the high quality of the MARRIAGE project and strongly encouraged the partnership to proceed with the initiative.

The way for doing so was paved by the partners right away during the final session of the event. It involved the ceremonial signing of long-term agreements stipulating the continuation of the joint promotion of the South Coast Baltic. One of the points agreed on was the preparation of a follow up project to be submitted to the South Baltic Programme 2014-2020. So what appeared to be the ending was indeed just the beginning of something new.
